Wonowon man wins bronze with Team Canada at Parapan American Games

Canada’s Senior Men’s Wheelchair Basketball Team won bronze down in Santiago, Chile at the 2023 Paran American Games on Saturday.

The men defeated Argentina in a high stakes match, 70-62.

With the win, Team Canada has now secured their spot in the 2024 IWBF Men’s Repechage tournament on April 12-15, 2024, in Antibes, France. There are only four qualification spots up for grabs at this last-chance qualifier for the 2024 Paralympics.

Peace region local, Bo Hedges of Wonowon/Fort St. John, B.C., is on Team Canada. He has been playing on the Senior Mens National Team since 2007.
