Fairview Health Complex without an on-site physician December 4 and 5

Alberta Health Services says the emergency department at the Fairview Health Complex will be without an on-site physician starting on Monday, December 4 at 7 a.m.

Because of an inability to find coverage, AHS says there will be no on-site physician from 7:00 a.m. Monday until 7:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Patients with an emergency can still call 911 to be re-routed to a nearby hospital, and nurses will remain on site to perform triage and assessments.

AHS says if coverage is found, disruptions may be cancelled.

The Fairview emergency department was also closed November 30 to December 2.
