Edmonton RCMP Major Crimes Unit investigating suspicious death in Grande Prairie

RCMP say the suspicious death of a person found near Westside Park is under investigation.

Grande Prairie RCMP say they were called out at around noon Monday.

The investigation has been taken over by the RCMP Major Crimes Unit with assistance from the Grande Prairie General Investigation Section.

Mounties say there is no concern for public safety and the investigation is ongoing.

The scene will be held until further notice. The public is asked to not approach the scene as this would interfere with the investigation.
