City recognizing National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

The City of Grande Prairie is recognizing the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.
Flags at all City facilities will be lowered to half-mast from sunrise to sunset today (Wednesday December 6) in remembrance of those who have experienced gender-based violence and those we have lost to it.
The national day was designated by Parliament in honor of the 14 women murdered at Polytechnique Montreal in 1989.
