GP RCMP’s “Cram-A-Cruiser” set to run this weekend

Grande Prairie RCMP will be “Cramming-A-Cruiser” full of donations for the Salvation Army on Saturday, December 16, and Sunday, December 17.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days, members from the RCMP will be collecting non-perishable foods and hygiene items to be given to the Grande Prairie Salvation Army.

In the release, Mountie’s provided a wishlist of items:

  • baby food, formula and essentials
  • baking supplies
  • canned food items such as beans, soups, pasta, meats, fruits and vegetables
  • condiments/oils/spices
  • boxed meals, such as Hamburger Helper, macaroni and cheese
  • instant stuffing
  • hygiene products; body wash, deodorant, toothbrushes, and toilet paper

Members from the RCMP will be collecting items at the Freshco on 92 Street on Saturday, then the 106 Avenue Save on Foods on Sunday.

In the same release, Sergent Gord Hughes, acting Operations Officer for the detachment said ” Supporting our Community is important to the members and staff at the Grande Prairie RCMP Detachment. We appreciate being able to team up with the public, and, in this case, the Grande Prairie Salvation Army Community and Family Services, in order to help persons in need.”

The RCMP is hoping to see many members of the public over the course of the weekend, and thanks everyone in advance for their willingness to give and generosity, this holiday season.
