Temporary disruption at Valleyview Health Centre ED

The Valleyview Health Centre Emergency Department will likely be without an on-site physician over the weekend.

Due to the inability to secure physician coverage, there is expected to be no on-site physician from 5:00 p.m. Friday, December 15 until 7:00 a.m. December 18.

During this time the nursing staff will remain on-site to provide triage and assessments and potential referrals to emergency departments in neighbouring communities.

If patients call 911 with a medical emergency, EMS remains available to transport them to Grande Prairie Regional Hospital for treatment.
