Minister Williams issues statement on mental health supports during holidays

MLA for Peace River and Minister of Mental Health and Addiction Dan Williams has released a statement to highlight mental health support that is available during the holiday season:
“Throughout Christmastime and over the holidays, families and friends are gathering to celebrate the season. However, this time of year can also be more stressful or lonely. Some may face increased levels of depression or anxiety. No matter what mental health challenge you face, you are not alone, and help is available.”
“At any time, you can call or text Alberta 211 or chat online to get connected with services close to you. Alberta 211 is available 24-7 and in more than 170 languages over the phone.”
“For Albertans suffering from the deadly disease of addiction, they will be able to continue accessing same-day, no-waitlist, life-saving treatment medication through the Virtual Opioid Dependency Program online or by calling 1-844-383-7688.”
