Year In Review: Danielle Smith, Premier of Alberta
MEDICINE HAT, AB – Since winning May’s provincial election and securing a mandate from Albertans, Premier and Medicine Hat-Brooks MLA Danielle Smith said she has been focusing on her vision for Alberta.
That vision, however, is not without some controversy.
From the proposed creation of an Alberta Pension Plan, fighting with Ottawa over Canada’s net zero electricity goals and restructuring the provincial health care system, Smith and her United Conservative Party (UCP) government wasted no time putting their mark on the politics of this province.
Pattison Media’s Dan Reynish met Smith for a year-end interview in Calgary.
