GP RCMP lay multiple charges on individual for attempted murder

The Grande Prairie RCMP has released the list of charges laid against an individual who caused a heavy police presence in a northwest GP neighbourhood on December 20.
However, Mounties say considering the nature of the incident, no names will be released.
As a result of their investigation, a 42-year-old Grande Prairie resident was charged with 16 offences including:
- Two counts of attempted murder
- Kidnapping
- Reckless use of firearm
- Pointing a firearm
- Assault with a weapon
- Two counts of uttering threats
- Possession of a firearm for a dangerous purpose
- Careless use of a firearm
- Mischief over $5,000
- Possession of stolen goods under $5,000 (a shotgun)
