One man dead after gun shots fired during vehicle chase in Fort St. John

Fort St. John RCMP say one person is dead after an incident Monday where gun shots were fired during a vehicle chase.

Mounties say just after 7:30 p.m. on January 8, they got several calls about what looked to be a chase involving at least three vehicles.

Witnesses say they saw and heard gun shots fired between the vehicles as they drove from 100 Avenue south on 90 Street.

A man police think was involved was found dead in a vehicle near 97 Avenue and 90 Street.

Two area homes were hit by gun shots.
