PWPSD celebrates Family Literacy Day all week long

Peace Wapiti Public School Division schools are celebrating Family Literacy Day (Saturday, January 27) throughout the week.

Starting on Monday, January 22, this year’s theme is “Let’s Have a Family Party.”

With that theme in mind, students’ families are invited to join in on the fun, by reading to a class or participating in literacy games and activities.

Some students will also have the opportunity to discover new titles through book swaps, while others will learn about their local libraries and how to use their online system to borrow books.

Any family members looking to attend their student’s school for Literacy Week, must contact the school’s front office beforehand.
