UPDATE: Highway 676, near Range Road 260 reopened

UPDATE:

An update regarding the accident on Highway 676, east of Range Road 260, has been provided by RCMP.

In the update Mounties do want to confirm that this accident was not fatal, as previously reported by RCMP, however serious injuries did occur.

STARS attended the scene along with RCMP and transferred the seriously injured to a hospital.

The highway closure was credited to a grader colliding with a pickup truck, but it has now since re-opened.

Highway 676, east of Range Road 260 is currently closed in both directions, as Grande Prairie RCMP responds to a fatal collision.

RCMP Collision Analysts are currently on route.

At this time, Residents are being asked to find an alternate route and avoid the area.

An update will be provided when the Highway reopens.
