Nominations open for Alberta Agriculture Hall of Fame class of 2024

The province is celebrating individuals in the agriculture industry.

Nominations are open for the 2024 Alberta Agriculture Hall of Fame.

It honours those who have advanced the province’s agriculture industries, food industries and rural life. Every two years, up to three individuals are inducted.

Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation RJ Sigurdson said, “I am continually impressed by the dedication and pride demonstrated by our agricultural and agri-food leaders.”

He continued, “The Alberta Agriculture Hall of Fame gives community members the opportunity to recognize those leaders by nominating them for this prestigious award. I look forward to celebrating the 2024 inductees this fall.”

Since 1951, 141 individuals have been recognized by the Hall of Fame.

Nominations close on May 3, 2024 and inductees will be celebrated at a ceremony later this year.
