Aquatera Skating Oval open to the public all weekend

The Peace Wapiti Speed Skating Club is inviting the public to the Aquatera Community Skating Oval this weekend.

Normally, the lights are on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. but for this weekend, they will be on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.

Skates and helmets can be rented inside Design Works Centre.

However, the PWSSC does ask residents to please leave hockey sticks and pucks at home.

The Skating Club says the ice is “in good condition, but to watch for “a frost heave about halfway along the north straightaway.
