Wolves 2014 cross-country running team named to ACAC Hall of Fame

Feb 18, 2024 | 6:00 AM

A Wolves team, from when it was still Grande Prairie Regional College, is being inducted into the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference Hall of Fame.

The 2014 Cross Country Running Team has been picked for what the ACAC calls “an unprecedented display of dominance.”

They went undefeated at three grand prixs that year before winning the ACAC championship by a wide margin over its nearest competitor.

Four of those competitors were named to the All-Conference team.

The Wolves went on to win the Canadian championship, placing four runners in the top 11 individually and setting a team record score while doing so.

They also won five of six races at the 2015 ACAC Indoor Track Championships and the GPRC Academic Team Award for having the highest team grade point average.

Six of the seven members were from Grande Prairie.

More on the team’s accomplishments can be found here.
