UPDATE: The Spirit River-Grande Prairie series in the North Peace Hockey League playoffs is going to a Game 7.

The Rangers won Game 6 9-4 Tuesday night in Grande Prairie.

Game 7 will be played at the Design Works Centre Thursday night at 8:30.

In the Northwest Junior Hockey League, the Wheat Kings shut out visiting Peace River 2-0 on Tuesday to even their series at 1-1. Game 3 Thursday in Peace River.

North Peace Hockey League playoffs Tuesday, Spirit River in Grande Prairie. Game time is 8:30.

The A’s lead the series 3-2 after winning the last game 4-3, Saturday in Spirit River.

Also Saturday, Manning beat Valleyview 6-5 take that series in five games. The Comets will now play Falher in the East Division final.

NWJHL

In the Northwest Junior Hockey League Tuesday. Peace River visits the County Wheat Kings. Face-off time is 8 p.m. The Navigators won Game 1, 5-4 in overtime Friday.

Beaverlodge leads Dawson Creek 2-0 in their series. The Blades won 2-0 Friday and 5-1 Saturday, both at home.

La Crete leads Sexsmith 2-0 after 5-3 and 9-1 home wins on Saturday and Sunday.

Both series resume Friday in Dawson Creek and Sexsmith.

Game times will be 8 p.m.

Storm

Storm lost 3-2 in Drayton Valley Friday.

Grande Prairie is now eighth in overall standings with 47 points, a point back of Camrose and nine points up on Drayton Valley.

The Storm host Drumheller on Saturday and Sunday.
