57th Intercity Tournament set to take place at HJ’s 5-Pin Bowling

HJ’s 5-Pin Bowling is hosting its 57th Intercity Tournament this weekend.

Bowlers from five cities; Prince George, Dawson Creek, Fairview, Fort St. John and Grande Prairie, will fight for the top spots in both teams and single events, with all the action kicking off on Friday, February 23.

Starting at 11 a.m. on Friday, Single events will get underway, with the top five men and women advancing to the final.

Teams will then start competing in the evening, through till Sunday, when the Championship for both Single’s and Team’s will be held.

Owner of HJ’s, Gerald Hafner, who has been bowling for 45 years, said this was his “favourite tournament by far,” calling it a “family reunion”, as he gets to see old friends while playing in a loud and infectious environment.
