County of Grande Prairie issues Fire Advisory

A fire advisory is now in effect for the entire County of Grande Prairie.
The advisory was issued due to unseasonably dry winter weather conditions and the early start of the wildfire season.
During this time, fire permits are needed for anyone operating a fire pit or burn barrel and will only be given out on a case-by-case basis.
All other fire uses like campfires and backyard pits are allowed, except for fireworks or exploding targets which require written permission from a forest officer.
