Grande Prairie Police Service begins recruitment drive
The Grande Prairie Police Service has begun inviting both experienced police officer and new recruit to join their ranks.
This spring, the GPPS will kick off the Experienced Police Officer Class, bringing in individuals with a minimum of 18 months experience as an officer, offering a $25,000 transitional allowance as a benefit.
Then in the fall, GPPS will welcome it’s first recruit class for brand new officers, with recruits receiving compensation from day one of hiring at a salary of over $76,000 to increase over five years.
The application process involves taking the Alberta Police Cognitive Ability Test, which interested individuals can take even before applying, with multiple exam sessions scheduled for the next few months.
