Holy Family Catholic Regional Division places man facing charges under suspension

Holy Family Catholic Regional Division has formally suspended a staff member charged with sexual offences against a youth effective Friday .
Thirty-one-year-old Brock Whalen is currently facing six charges including sexual assault, sexual interference and two counts of luring a child.
HFCRD has retained an investigator in response to complaints received and is continuing to offer support services to students and families.
The division says the alleged incidents that led to the charges did not occur while Whelna was employed by Holy Family and that anyone with related information is asked to contact the McLennan RCMP or their local police.
