55+ Games gold for Grande Prairie foursome

A Grande Prairie team won the gold medal in mixed curling over the weekend at the Alberta 55 Plus 2024 Winter Provincial Games.

Belle Thomas, Vernon Boyd, Sharon Hinz and Doug Small took the top prize at the event played over the weekend in Cochrane.

The win also gives them a sport in the Canada 55+ Games.

The Alberta games take place at various places at various times, with events to continue into April.
