Bouchard blast helps Oilers snap skid, clip Kings 4-2
EDMONTON — Leon Draisaitl and Evan Bouchard each had a goal and an assist as the Edmonton Oilers snapped a three-game losing skid with a 4-2 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Monday.
Zach Hyman and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins also scored and Connor McDavid had a pair of assists for the Oilers (34-20-2) who moved two points up on the Kings for the third and final playoff spot in the Pacific Division.
Trevor Moore and Alex Laferriere replied for the Kings (29-18-10) who had won five of their previous six.
The Kings started the scoring 6:45 into the opening period as the puck came off the back boards to Quinton Byfield and he shovelled it back to Moore who beat Oilers starter Stuart Skinner with a wrist shot for his 22nd. It was the eighth time in the last 11 games that the Oilers surrendered the first goal.
