MD of Peace council continues funding for Pond Hockey Championship Gala event

Municipal District of Peace Council has made a decision regarding the $5,000 donated for the now cancelled 2024 Alberta Pond Hockey Championships.
At their Wednesday meeting, Council voted to redirect the funds towards the Championship’s still planned Gala and Silent Auction Event taking place March 9.
Town of Grimshaw Council made the same decisions earlier this month after the championships were cancelled due to warm weather making the ice unsafe for players and equipment.
