St. John Paul teacher recipient of a provincial award
Grande Prairie & District Catholic School has announced St. John Paul II’s fabrication teacher has been chosen as a recipient of the CAREERS: Award of Excellence in Skilled Trades.
According to the district, Mr. Jacques Lecerf was given this award for his “commitment and dedication to his students, going above and beyond to provide mentorship, safety awareness, and employability training for tomorrow’s skilled workforce.”
This honour is given out by CAREERS: The Next Generation, an organization that “recognizes outstanding mentors, who are contributing value to Alberta designated trades.”
In a release, Mr. Lecerf said it’s an honour to be nominated and he feels “blessed to work in a role where he can assist students to become better prepared for life after high school.”
