City closes all outdoor rinks

The City of Grande Prairie is closing all outdoor rinks for the season.
This includes the skating oval at the CKC campus and Montrose Cultural Centre, the pond at Muskoseepi Park, and outdoor rinks located in community neighbourhoods.
The City does encourage residents to explore other indoor options when it comes to skating or visit the programming section of their website, for upcoming spring-time activities.
In a post on social media, the City thanked Aquatera for “providing the equipment to flood,” and take care of these ice surfaces over the winter, and added, “We hope everyone had a great time skating!”
