Clairmont Community Garden Society wins provincial award

The Clairmont Community Garden Society has been awarded the 2024 Choosewell Healthy Community Inspiration Award.

Communities Choosewell, a free provincial program, chose the Garden Society alongside six other initiatives across Alberta as this year’s recipient.

The Garden Society first got started four years ago by a father and daughter duo, at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Since then, the society has served the community in numerous ways; providing food for the community, local food banks and hosting programs for Grade 1 and 2 students from the Clairmont Community School.
