Team Alberta North takes home over 120 medals at 2024 Arctic Winter Games

The 2024 Arctic Winter Games are wrapping up today in Mat-Su Alaska.

There was a great showing from the Northern Alberta athletes, taking home 124 medals.

Of the medals, 39 were bronze, 42 silver, and 43 were gold, placing Alberta North in third place overall below Alaska and Yukon.

Gold medal winning athletes from Grande Prairie include Ainslie Coburn, Nathan Kendall, and Elizabeth Zacharias.

The 2024 Arctic Winter Games closing ceremony will be taking place at 12:00 PM m.t. today.
