MD of Peace orders Fire Restriction

The Municipal District of Peace now has a fire restriction order in place.

Currently, fires of any kind in the backcountry or at random camping areas are banned, alongside fireworks, exploding targets, rockets, and controlled brush pile burns.

Safe campfires in backyard pits are still allowed with extreme caution, as are gas or propane fire pits and the use of fireplaces with spark arrestors on the chimneys.

The restriction will remain in place until further notice.
