County of Grande Prairie Census opens in April

Mar 27, 2024 | 1:45 PM

The County of Grande Prairie’s Census will launch on April 3.

According to the county, this is being done because since 2021, the county has taken responsibility for the dissolved Village of Hythe and the provincial government requires them to review their number of councillors and election boundaries before the 2025 election.

County residents will start receiving their personal identification number (PIN) at their homes, starting on Wednesday, April 3. It must be used to complete the Census either online or in person.

Badged county workers will also be going door-to-door from April 15 to May 31 for residents who can’t access the internet or would prefer to do their Census in person.
