Grande Prairie Fire Department responds to Royal Oaks house fire Mar. 28

Grande Prairie Fire Department responded to a house fire in Royal Oaks Thursday night.
At roughly 9:00 PM Thursday, March 28, GPFD were called to the home to find a large amount of fire coming from a basement window on the read side of the home.
While the first arriving crew were able to put out the fire, the rest of the home was searched and it was confirmed the only occupant home at the time of the fire escaped with no injury.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, GPFD is reminding residents to ensure electronics like laptops and tablets are place on no combustible surfaces while charging.
