Grande Prairie sledge hockey team wins silver medal at Western Canada tournament

Some local sledge hockey players came home from a recent tournament with a silver medal.
The team from Grande Prairie’s Wolverines Wheelchair Sports Association took part in the Matt Cook Western Canada Sledge Hockey Tournament over Easter weekend in Calgary.
The Wolverines dropped the gold medal game in the Intermediate C division, 3-2 to the Calgary Scorpions, on a goal scored with three minutes left to play.
Organizers called this an amazing tournament and said they are very proud of the players.
