Grande Prairie born player headed to Volleyball Canada Hall of Fame

A Grande Prairie-born, Saskatoon-raised player is going into the Volleyball Canada Hall of Fame.

Gavin Schmidt played for the national team from 2007 to 2016 after playing in the ACAC and at the university level.

He won a bronze medal with Team Canada at the 2015 Pan Am Games in Toronto and represented our country in the 2016 Olympics.

He also played professionally in several countries and has already been inducted into the ACAC Hall of Fame.
