UPDATE: Missing man in Peace River found safe

UPDATE: Peace River RCMP advise that William Reid Glenn has been located safe. RCMP would like to thank the media and public for their assistance. A tip from the public was crucial in locating Mr. Glenn.

Mounties in Peace River are asking for the publics assistance in locating a missing man.

William Reid Glenn, a 69-year-old man whom has dementia, wandered away from his care facility on April 21 at around 6:45 p.m. in the Town of Peace River.

The RCMP is concerned for his safety and well-being.

William, who goes by the name of Reid, was last seen in the area of the Peace River Hospital walking towards it.

He is described as:

  • Approximately six feet tall
  • Approximately 150 pounds
  • Metal framed glasses
  • White or light grey hair
  • Currently has only a mustache
  • Last seen wearing blue jeans, grey-blue mid-sleeve shirt with black palm trees, black hat with red beak, and a yellow bag with the words “R Glenn” on it, possibly only wearing slippers
  • Has dementia and may be confused about where he is, or, may attempt to work on a property believing he is working
  • Has no means of payment or ID

The Peace Regional RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in any information regarding the location or sightings of William Reid Glenn.
