Peace River School Division Board of Trustees announce nominee for ASBA Edwin Parr Award

Peace River School Division has announced their nominee for the 2024 Alberta School Board Association’s Edwin Parr Teacher Award for outstanding first-year teachers.

Grimshaw Public School Grade 3 Teacher Ethan Toews is PRSD’s nominee this year for his classroom management skills and efforts addressing individual student needs and abilities.

Toews will be celebrated at the Division’s Long Term Service Staff Awards Gala May 10, before the ASBA Zone 1 AGM in the Fall, where one nominee from Zone 1 will be selected as the winner of the Edwin Parr Teacher Award.

The PRSD selection committee submitted two nominations this year, with Toews nominated alongside Katie Robertson, also from Grimshaw Public School.
