Evacuation order for Chetwynd area downgraded to evacuation alert says PRRD

UPDATE: The Peace River Regional District says the evacuation alert has now been cancelled. PRRD says a new alert or order may be issued if conditions change.
The Peace River Regional District says an evacuation order issued for an area close to Chetwynd has been rescinded. Residents that were forced to leave their homes are now allowed to return.
An evacuation alert remains in place for the area west of Bisset Creek, south to Pine River and east to Wildmare Creek.
The BC Wildfire Service says the Wildmare Creek Fire has burned an estimated 50 hectares and was human caused.
