One person dead after collision in Fort St. John

Fort St. John RCMP say one person is dead after a collision between a pickup and a motorcycle.

It happened on Wednesday, April 24 around 9:30 p.m. at 93 Street and 96 Avenue in Fort St. John.

Mounties say witnesses told them that the motorcycle hit the pickup.

Bystanders performed CPR on the driver of the bike, who was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police believe speed was a factor in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
