Man charged after woman held against her will in John D’Or Prairie

Fort Vermilion RCMP say a 22 year old man is facing charges after a woman was held against her will inside a home in John D’Or Prairie by a man with a firearm.

Mounties say the report came in just after 6 a.m.

The report led to a shelter in place order for the community.

The suspect was later arrested. A search of the home led to the seizure of several firearms.

Charges against Marty D’Or include hostage taking, assault, uttering threats and six charges related to firearms.
