PWPSD announce first recipients of Teacher Bursary program

Peace Wapiti Public School Division has announced the first recipients of its new Teacher Bursary.

The program was created to assist individuals within the division to attain Bachelor of Education degrees.

The program provides $3,000 per year to 8 recipients to cover the costs directly associated with the Teacher Education Program and provides recipients with a position within PWPSD upon their graduation.

Originally the 2024 program was set to only have five recipients, but the total amount was raised to eight current and past students and staff working in other capacities.
