Grande Prairie man wanted for murder

Mounties have identified a suspect for the homicide of 34-year-old Echer Marcial.

Human remains were found on March 14, 2024, on Range Road 55, south of Township Road 730, near Clairmont.

An autopsy done by the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton has deemed Marcial’s death a homicide.

The Alberta Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation and have charged 37-year-old David James Sietsma, who also goes by the name “Toothless”, with first-degree murder of Marcial.

The whereabouts of Sietsma is unknown but he is believed to be in the Grande Prairie area.

If you see David Sietsma, DO NOT approach him and call your local police immediately.
