County fire crews assisting with a fire in Horse Lake First Nation

County of Grande Prairie Fire crews are currently assisting with a grass fire in Horse Lake First Nation.

Fire crews say the fire started as just a grass fire, but then spread to nearby brush.

At this time, the size of the fire has yet to be determined but crews have worked to establish a perimeter.

The fire is currently being held and crews are working on extinguishing hot spots and reinforcing the perimeter.
