New Fairview and area Catholic school board trustee elected by acclimation

Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools says a new trustee has been found to represent Ward 3, which takes in Fairview and area.

Jessica Richard has been elected by acclimation after being the only person to submit papers over the five business days nominations were open.

Richard will be sworn in August 26. She will replace Gaylane Moskalyk, who resigned in February.

A second by-election to fill a vacancy for Ward 1, which takes in Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge and Sexsmith, is set for June 25.
