Fort St. John RCMP arrest young people connected to truck theft from Grande Prairie

Police in Fort St. John have arrested four youth in connection to a truck theft reported by Grande Prairie RCMP.

On May 7, around 7:30 a.m., Fort St. John RCMP received a request to assist the Grande Prairie detachment and located the truck in the Walmart parking lot in Fort St. John.

Four young people, who were reported to be acting strangely and were associated with the vehicle, were located and arrested without incident.

One youth had been the driver of the vehicle and is facing one count of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

A second youth had a warrant out of Nanaimo, B.C. and was also arrested.

The youth were held until they were released to their guardians. The charged youth was released on an undertaking with conditions and a future court date.
