Goldie named to Volleyball Alberta Hall of Fame

Grande Prairie’s Leigh Goldie is one of three inductees this year for the Volleyball Alberta Hall of Fame.

Goldie was a teacher and coach with the then-called Grande Prairie Regional College for over 40 years. He is being inducted in the Builder category.

Goldie will join former Wolves men’s and women’s coach Ron Thomson and long-time Comp. volleyball coach Dave Johnson in the hall.

The induction ceremony is set for June 22 in Red Deer.

Volleyball Alberta is also making its 50th anniversary this year and 20 years since its first Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
