May 10, 2024 | 12:00 PM

Early Wednesday morning in Grande Prairie, Mounties were called to a report of a suspicious man checking vehicles and looking into windows of houses in the Royal Oaks/Northridge neighbourhood.

Police officers were able to locate and arrest the man near where they were dispatched to shortly after.

As a result, 24-year-old Christian Deltess of Grande Prairie, has been charged with:

  • Attempted break & enter to a residence
  • Mischief- Obstruct enjoyment of property
  • Fail to comply with probation order

Deltess was remanded into custody following a Judicial Interim Release Hearing and is scheduled into Grande Prairie court on May 13, 2024.

The RCMP are asking the public for video footage of anyone checking doors to houses, garages and vehicles/going through vehicles in the Royal Oaks/Northridge neighbourhood, and submit it to the Grande Prairie detachment.

RCMP say they are aware the neighbourhood Facebook page has had many members posting videos of a man doing these acts from April 21-May 8, 2024 and they would like to see footage to review.
