City of Grande Prairie seeking Requests for Expressions of Interest to create monument for Treaty 8 signing anniversary

The City of Grande Prairie is seeking a Request for Expressions of Interest from artists to create a monument to celebrate the 125 anniversary of the Treaty 8 signing.
Interested parties can submit up to three conceptual sketches for the monument which will be placed in an outdoor public location for residents to visit and learn more about Treaty 8.
The monument can be made of any materials that can withstand the Grande Prairie climate, and artists are encouraged to focus on topics like educational value, natural environment, and historical significance.
Applicants should focus on several aspects for the monument including its historical significance, community and unity, natural environment, resilience, and future aspirations.
