PRFD and other fire crews responded to a residential fire

The Peace River and Weberville Fire Departments responded to a residential fire early this morning, (Tuesday, May 14) with support from other fire crews.

Both Peace River and Weberville crews responded to the north end of town at 1 a.m. to find three homes impacted by the blaze.

A mutual aid request was also sent out to Northern Sunrise County, with a fire crew and engine from St. Isidore arriving on the scene.

Fifteen firefighters worked over four hours to put out the fire.

As a result of the blaze, one home was completely destroyed and the other two were significantly damaged. A few members of the crew suffered minor injuries.
