WBL season starts Wednesday night, new Sexsmith team to debut May 22

One game on Wednesday night will kick off the 2024 Wheatbelt Baseball League season.

The Grimshaw Huskies will visit the Peace River Stampeders. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:15.

There is also a game Thursday. Rycroft will visit the County Brewers. The start time there will also be 7:15 p.m.

For the second time in as many years, the league has added a team

The Sexsmith Rainiers will start play this year. They will play their first game Wednesday, May 22, in Rycroft.
