RCMP investigating John D’Or Prairie murder

Fort Vermilion RCMP say police are investigating a murder that happened in John D’Or Prairie.

Mounties say that at around 3 a.m. on Thursday (May 16), they got a report of a male who had suffered a gunshot wound.

He died on his way to the hospital. His name has not been released.

The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation.

An autopsy will be done at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton.
