Another service disruption at Fairview Emergency Department

Alberta Health Services says the emergency department at the Fairview Health Complex will be without an on-site physician for two days this week.

AHS says there will be no doctor on site from 7 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, until 7 a.m. Thursday. May 23.

Anyone with a medical emergency can still call 911 as EMS is still available.

Nursing staff will be on-site in Fairview to provide triage and assessments.

Health Link is also available 24/7 by calling 811 for non-emergencies.

AHS says this disruption could be cancelled if coverage can be found.

This is the third service disruption at the Fairview emergency department in less than ten days.
