Laboucane wins Grande Prairie Stompede Championship
It was a great start for Jamie Laboucane in the opening week of the World Professional Chuckwagon Association’s racing season.
Laboucane, driving the Wild Rows Pump & Compression Ltd. Outfit, showed off with a clean sweep at the Grande Prairie Stompede.
He takes home the Ralph Vigen Memorial Award plus the use of a GMC truck for an entire year, courtesy of Summit Fleet, for topping the aggregate standings after Saturday’s final heat.
The Championship crown and $41,000 was won by Laboucane with an impressive penalty free run of 1:16.08, the fastest of the day and entire week.
